Meet the A2B Heli Team:
Chief Executive Officer & Maintenance Manager - Andy Bloxham
Andy started his Career at McAlpine Helicopters based out of Oxford Airport (UK) in 1997. After completing an Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance Andy went on to gain a UK CAA Section L Maintenance Engineers Licence (Which he later converted to EASA Part 66). In 2006 he became Quality Manager for McAlpine Helicopters/Eurocopter UK and in 2009 completed his Degree (B Eng (Hons)) in Aircraft Engineering.
Andy left Eurocopter UK in 2010 and started A2B Aero Ltd of which initially provided Consultancy and Training Services. 2011 saw a new chapter for the company when A2B Aero achieved its first European Approval for Engineer Type Training (EASA Part 147) which was a joint venture between A2B Aero and CMAC Ltd a Company run by one of Andy’s Great Friends, Chris Watkins.
In 2012, Andy took on a new Chapter with the Employment of Andy James and a contract to manage the Airworthiness of six high end executive Helicopters. This contract saw A2B gain approval under EASA Part M and then later in 2013 a sister Company A2B Heli (Maintenance) was born gaining EASA Part 145 Approval.
In the years since A2B Aero began, Andy has grown the companies within its group, into a leading specialist in all fields of Helicopter Operation and Support. Along with the sister companies, A2B Heli (Maintenance) and London Helicopter Charters, Andy is now CEO of the group that provides: Helicopter Operation (AOC), Helicopter Management (Part M), Helicopter Maintenance (Part 145) and Engineer Training (Part 147).
Chief Operating Officer & Deputy Maintenance Manager - Andy James
Director of Operations within A2B Aero & Heli Maintenance with leadership and oversight of the Company EASA Part M Airworthiness, Consultancy , Quality and EASA Part 147 Training departments.
In addition to EASA Form 4 Airworthiness (CAM) Postholder roles for Commercial Operators and Air Ambulances, Andy is also managing the A2B Heli Maintenance facility at Oxford Airport; supporting Private, VIP, VVIP and Utility Rotary Wing Aircraft.
Maintenance Support Manager - Hannah Dunnington
Hannah comes from a Planning and Customer relations back ground following her roles with Air Tanker, Airbus Helicopters Deutschland and Airbus Helicopters UK. Hannah Manages our Logisitcs, Customer Services and Stores team.
Customer and Technical Coordinator Supervisor - Kate Murray
Kate joined A2B Heli in 2014 and heads up our Customer and Tech-Coordination roles, including Logistics. Kate has worked for several large Maintenance Organisations in both the Rotary and Fixed Wing world.
Logistics Coordinator - Scott Davies
Scott joined A2B July 2018 and comes to us with extensive automotive experience. Scott is based from out Brighton City Maintenance base and controls all aspect of Company Logistics Procurement and Provision.
Storeman - Michael King
Michael comes to us in a combination role as Logistics Assistance, Storeman and Hangar Cleaner. Michael's enthusiasm for his work will ensure his success at A2B.
Customer and Technical Coordinator - Chloe Cowley
Chloe joined A2B Heli June 2018 and overseas the Brighton City Airport division of our Customer and and Tech-Coordination roles. Chloe is based from Brighton City Airport.
Chief Engineer (Brighton City Base) & Licensed Engineer - Paul Richardson
Paul is a Licensed Engineer who has worked in the aircraft maintenance industry for 16 years and has played a vital part in getting Shoreham up and running into the successful maintenance facility it is today
He works hard to ensure the Customers needs are more than met and aircraft are safely out on time.
Paul is based mostly from our Brighton City Airport facility supporting many aircraft including the R22/R44, EC130, AS350 and AS355.
Paul is the Chief Engineer of the Brighton City Maintenance base.
Chief Engineer (Oxford Base) & Licensed Engineer - Lional Vercueil
Lional started his career in 1997 in South Africa where he completed a 5 year apprenticeship before completing his licence, and becoming type rated on 369 series and Robinson helicopters.
Lional came to the UK in 2004 and completed his EASA part 66 license before spending the next 11 years in the offshore industry starting in Aberdeen on the AS332L2, then SAR on the Jigsaw project, then out of Norwich based offshore with a AS365N3, and finishing in Norwich on AW139.
Lional returned to the private sector aviation, working on various private helicopters before joining A2B in September 2017 where he works on Airbus, Sikorsky and Robinson helicopters. Lional is the Chief Engineer of the Oxford Maintenance base.
Licensed Engineer - Steve Wood
Steve has joined A2B in June 2018 following a successful period contracting with A2B Heli @ Oxford. Based from our Brighton City Maintenance base, Steve is a multi type-rated licensed engineer working alongside Paul and the team.
Contract Licensed Engineer - Sam Carr
Fitter - Robert Deverell
Robert joined A2B January 2017 following extensive helicopter experience gained in the Royal Air Force. Rob brings with him many years of service and fits in nicely within A2B.
Fitter - Pete Spicer
Pete joined Heli in 2014 following some time in the Wind Turbine industry. Pete had completed a Fixed Wing apprenticeship before joining Heli and puts his experience of other organisations and disciplines to good use within Heli. Pete currently works to ensure the steady stream of incoming Nitesuns are repaired and dispatched in a timely manner.
Fitter - Louise Harper
Louise is our newest Engineer and comes to us from a Military aircraft and component workshop back ground. Louise is presently engaged in supporting our Nightsun repair facility, aircraft handling and building her knowledge of private/commercial aircraft Types.
Contract Fitter - James Green
